I checked that. The wired looked good. I had it hooked up to another (wrong kind) of sending unit and it wasn't marking at all. I'm thinking if the wire grounding it, it would've pegged the needle with that unit also.

I talked to my buddy earlier... he actually gave me the sending unit. He told me he had a few in his tool box and one was bad... apparantly it's the one I got. I'm going to get a new one now.
