Witness to a feeding frenzy...

Maybe I'm odd, but I feel a "little" bad seeing an old square body being parted out...this time a little less than normal as I grabbed a nice crack-free dash and cluster for my truck...$30 total. Thank you kind old man with the old truck that gave to so many today...lol Seriously, it was nice to see so many get those sought after pieces....by the time it was all done it was tough to recognize what it was.

Re: Witness to a feeding frenzy...

You got a great deal there! As long as the parts are used to further the life of another square; I'm ok with that. I got a few parts off a nice straight 76 K20 several years ago. The guy just wanted the 454 out of it. It was loaded with everything and everything was HD. I looked at the SPID sheet! I should have bought the whole truck, because he sold it for scrap not long after.....

Re: Witness to a feeding frenzy...

I bought a whole truck running with a 454, all I wanted was the 454 for my baby, poor old green gal is parted completely naked Makes me sad too, if I didn't need the money selling the rear end, transmission, bench seat, doors, etc. to complete my build I woulda got her up and running for my girlfriend....ah well, that's how the cookie crumbled

Re: Witness to a feeding frenzy...

Hot rodders are the O.g recyclers.
My 73 has parts from 64 up to 92 on it and ford parts.
People have been swapping rebuilding and junkyarding forever.
