I drove the dodge quite a bit before I yanked the cummins, its an amazing engine. I am really looking forward to stuffing it in my wrecker. I am just sad im in the position where I am going to have to get rid of this truck.

I am seriously thinking about stuffing an extended cab cab on my other HD, and then putting a dually bed on it, but we will see.

Well the good news is, I was able to have a pretty good week this week, sold some other stuff, and I got enough cash togeather to move into the new place, so now I dont have to sell the truck, so im going to keep it and finish it.

I have been working on the math figuring out the leingth differences between the Cummins and the Big Block to see where exactly the engine needs to be positioned, as well I am working on a design for a really nice set of motor mounts that will be super strong.

The bad thing is, it looks like I am going to have to chop out the floor again, so I think I am going to install the front floor out of a 88-98 suburban. and install it. So I can use the proper brackets to mount my seats. And it will give me a nice flat floor as well, also doing it this way I can take care of the only rust spot on the truck wich is a small part on the drivers floor.

The first of the month I will be moving into my new place, so from there I can start with getting the truck disasembeled again, and getting it all put back togeather. I am pretty excited about it.

Who makes those dually rims and what size do you plan on running. This is gonna be a nice truck man!
Ps I have a nice sleeper cab with wind deflector wing that would look perfect on your truck.

The Wheels are made by MKW, And I spent the better part of 4 years of my life living out of the sleeper of a Kenworth, I want more of it like I would want to make sweet love to Rosie O'Donnell!

Right now I am just saving my money within the next 2 weeks I should be ordering the parts to rebuild the NV4500, the Dodge Input shaft, the Bellhousing, and the motor mounts. It is about 1500.00 worth of stuff.

An old friend made its way into the shop for the first time ever tonight.

I am stoked, Tonight I yanked the column apart and got it working again, a job I had been putting off because of the intense level of suck that comes with working on GM columns, the column is messed up beyond full repair, but at least I got the truck where I can start it and move it again. I also picked up a brand new optima yellow top and stuffed it under the hood.

It was nice rolling it inside tonight, I figured out that I have enough room to get it inside to do maintenance, which is going to be a biggy because I need to pull my AC condenser out and clean it because it is packed with dirt and wont blow cold.

The bad news is to pull the engine to do the Cummins swap I will have to turn the truck sideways in the shop, and that is going to be a really tight fit.

Its an awesome feeling getting it in there though, and I am going to get back into working on it the next few months. Right now I really need to find a tilt column for a stick shift, get it rebuilt and installed.

I am also going to have to tackle the wiring mess that is behind the dash, I am thinking it may be time to just go get a all new harness. We will see as the build gets going here.
