Re: front sway bar question..
It was optional on these trucks. You can usually find one on the parts board.

Probably the cheapest way to improve the handling of these trucks.....

Re: front sway bar question..
Look for a 1 1/4" bar. Many other year models will interchange. Mines from a '79 C-30. The neoprene bushings last much longer than rubber, but can squeak a little. If you plan on lowering the truck, it's a good idea to relocate the front mounts. Happy hunting.
I just noticed you're from oz. That might make it a little harder to find one in a wrecking yard, but I'd do my best if I were you. Shipping one could be rather pricey. G/L

Re: front sway bar question..
I found one last year for $40, and discovered after removing all the decades of dried mud and congealed grease on the front end, all I had to do was bolt it into the existing holes.
Really handles much, much better now. I'm amazed at how much corner sway was eliminated. |

Got my 1 1/4" bar from a 73 - 87 Chev or GMC tow truck. Those should be more plentiful than 67 - 72's down there...

Re: front sway bar question..
My 1 1/4" bar was from a 79 C-20 from pick and pull for $25. Early classic enterprises has the frame mounts for stock height and lower trucks, they also have bushing and strap kits. I'll probably be in it for about $60
