what oil/grease to use in restored manual steering gear
I took my steering gear apart to powder coat and rebuilde and was wondering what you use to lube them back up? mine may have been rebuilt before cause it was full of blue/green grease as seen in my pic and i think they were oil from factory if i am correct. what do i use to lube it back up.

The grease that was in your steering gear was from the factory. You can install 80 or 90 weight gear oil if you wish or reinstall grease like came from the factory. A good wheel bearing type grease will work. You just want to make sure that the grease or oil you use will not be too thick in the winter. That's not a problem in the south.
