Wrecked 71 burb whats it worth?

Well as the story goes my burb got stolen and wrapped around a tree. The frame is a mangled and the front clip is crushed. I dont have the means or the money to do a frame swap but I don't want to crush it either. I'm thinking of parting the ole dog out but don't know what I should ask for the good parts. Everything from the firewall back is decent. The uncut dash and tilt column are fine and All the doors and glass are in good shape even the rear hatch is fine. I don't want to ask a fortune for parts but I don't want to be ripped off either. I just want to know what you think would be fair for the parts or the whole thing?

If you like it find another frame. Then find someone with a 2 post lift to lift the body off for you. Swap them out. Not that big of a deal.

As far as parting it out.....its worth what someone will give.

You would be money ahead to find a frame and front clip IMO.

Do the frame swap! Find a burb on craigs list and buy it or the one in the "for sale" section here in Texas. It would be easy to do a frame swap and could be done without a lift. Run the numbers and sue the kid who stole it, or have the parents give you the money that would cost to fix. Just me!

It's amazing how tough these rigs are! I would check the drivers side firewall area and door fit before I got too excited about a body swap. I'd say around $1000 complete if you leave the tilt in and $700 if you pull it. Sharpie

i dont think i can commit to doing a frame swap in my life right now. I Work between 50-60 hours a week and doing the band thing twice a week plus whatever shows we play takes a lot of my time. Thanks for the frame offer I just don't have a place to put it. Dennis I'm glad you chimmed in. I was going to ask you and Randy what you thought about it.
