Just curious if tow hooks go for 250+ is this a bad deal? How many 8 track units are there? Where would an 8 track player rate as a "rare" option? Lash

$360?? WOW! I'd say that an 8 track is rarer than tow hooks, I haven't seen quite as many ever.
So, did a board member won it?

This unit goes along with the radio, it hangs underneath the dash. $360 is just insane though, I guess I should look for these things in the junkyard.

Gee_Emm 360 is insane and someone actualy paid that amount .
I don't think you will find one at a wrecking yard . So the hunt begins for 8 track players . |

I think Bad4x4 got an original 8 track with his 4WD orange blazer he bought about a month ago. Remember he lifted it and a bunch of people about had a heartattack because it was so stock before he lifted it!!:p :p I can't believe that one went on ebay for $360!!!!!

Back on topic... Nobody has an issue with those that spend tens of thousands of dollars on a customization, but $360 for an extremely rare original to potentially complete a restoration is absurd? I wouldn't pay that much for it either simply because I don't want one but $360 seems reasonable given the economics of supply vs demand.

I bid on it at 70 dollars and again at 80 dollars, and I was going to go 150 and stop but I would have never thought it would go for 360,I am sure it is worth it being they are some few of them around,I guess I will have to listen to that Elvis christmas 8track in the house

Actually, that is a bargain compared to what some that have sold on ebay. One went for $780 and another for $500 plus. If any one has an original like the one on ebay, contact me. I would pay $360 for one but didn't get to bid on that one. Any takers?
