WHat did you get done 4/8/12 Easter/Passover edition

First of all id like to wish everyone a Happy Easter or a Joyous Passover if you subscribe to either of those holidays
This week ive been making a pain in the butt of myself to the body shop where my truck remains.. we are now past the friday deadline of my truck being completed there. We are, however down to minimal things..
the rest of the body side moldings need to go on.. the front marker lights need to be installed the interior needs some tweaking the window channels need to go in,, the right side door handle and cab chrome need installation
we did find that my air dam is toast as is one of my bumper mounted turn signals.. this week i will order those and get that stuff done along with duraliner bed liner..
We are getting close but yet no cigar..
heres a picture
how about you all?

Got my quad projectors in and wired. All four stay on when I hit the brights. And that make the sun seem dim.

Reinstalled my painted trim, did a horrible re-upholster job on my headliner, patched the side fender only to find it has tons of bondo and will more likely be replaced all together, busted down my pull a part hood to bare metal and painted it will self etching primer to get it ready for some real primer and smooth it out

Unfortunately didn't touch my square, but replaced the passenger side ball joints on my '02 Blazer. Of course what should have only taken a couple of hours(they have been done before) took half the day.

Re: WHat did you get done 4/8/12 Easter/Passover edition

Since I was off this past week , my weekend was a long one. Very productive, upgraded my garage electric to 100 AMP, built and installed a "tall" shifter handle for an old guy with a 52 Plymouth, began the suicide door project on my '50, the driver's door is 95% complete, need to finish the welding and design an outside handle setup.

I finally put the new front to rear brake lines in my Chevy. Had a hard time getting the "pre-bent" lines to line up!

Re: WHat did you get done 4/8/12 Easter/Passover edition

I finished up my dash repairs and it is now ready to have the new cover installed. Did a little routine maintenance and gave the truck a once over with Liquid Wrench. It is amazing what a little lube oil will do for these trucks! Degreasing and re-lubing the door lock mechanism inside the door, and cleaning and lubing the window regulators made a world of difference. My doors shut with very little effort and no more slamming! New striker bolts with the plastic sleeves helped a bunch also. Combine all this with all new door rubber, almost sounds like a new truck when getting in and out. My 2 young girls can open and shut the doors and tail gate with ease.

My new set of trim rings showed up for my freshly powdercoated rally rims.

I installed my 6.5" speakers into the rear doors of my Grand Cherokee.

Cleaned out a junk room in the basement to open the room up for storage.

Re: WHat did you get done 4/8/12 Easter/Passover edition

I don't know If anyone in here followed the angelo build that Delmo did, but when I saw the truck in person there was a little detail in it that I just loved right away. A shortened shifter. The shifter on the column seems just a tad too long on the squares. Also, the factory knob on the end was really warn. So I pulled it off, shortened it to line in up with the top of the dash, and installed a new knob. Turns out, I don't like the new knob I got so that will be replaced again. but I love the way the shortened shifter came out.

Got two of my rallys painted. GM "gun metal" which matchs the lower portion of my truck almost perfect. Paint is actually quite a bit darker than the pic (the right one). Also Washed it. And yes, mowed the lawn after pics were takin. haha

INstalled my Monroe max-air shocks in the rear yeaterday along with some Flowmaster 40 series. Its not as loud as I was expecting but I guess it sounds ok. Did an oil change.. Oh yeah.. bought a set of noisy gear drive timing gears off a friend of mine. They came on his GM crate motor and he took them off. Mine now!! Not going to install them quite yet. Need to same up some money and get a thumper cam so I can do them both at the same time. Hopefully sometime this summer.

I spent 3 days climbing back and forth from under the hood, and still can't get my square running. It's great when you take a running truck and turn it into a non-running truck.

I took the e-brake cable brackets off the top rail of the frame and installed them on the lower rail to give them some flex room due to the 4" lift. Then installed the polyurethane body mounts under the cab. Will be gettin the front end on soon. WooHoo!

New Front End. Bushing upper and lowers both sides, Ball Joints Upper and Lower both sides, Tie Rods inner and otther both sides, Idler and Pitman Arm. Went with All Moog. Cant believe how this thing drives now.

Started Friday morning and would have finished that night if the Parts house would have not screwed up my order and gave my 4 inner Tie Rods

Re: WHat did you get done 4/8/12 Easter/Passover edition

My 1973 K20 got some attention on Saturday.
Bosch H4 headlight conversion with 55/100 H4 bulbs and an HD relay harness.
Coolant flush, lower hose, and radiator cap replaced.
Transmission dipstick tube o-ring and detente cable o-ring replaced.
LH fuel tank to hard line hoses replaced (hooray, it runs from both tanks now!).
Fluid checks and a few beers staring at it wondering what is next.
