Need help with late model seats
I scored a set of leather seats from a 2005 GMC Yukon (at least that is what they were advertised as). My concern is how to wire them up... the problem is that they have air bags in them. With air bags I am afraid to go probing around with power for fear of setting off the bags. I don't know about the Chevy/GMC in-seat bags but my brother had a King Ranch edition Ford (pardon my profanity) and when the in-seat bags popped they came ripping through the leather. I don't think I would enjoy that.
First question: Does anyone know for sure which plug is for the air bag? I am assuming that it is the yellow one. Second question: short of paying an interior shop to pull the covers and remove the bags am I safe just clipping the wires? Third question: I have no idea what all these seats do they are power but they aren't like my '04 LT... the lumbar is manual via a knob and the recline is the lever. Does anyone know what else they do? Anybody out there got a wiring diagram? As always, thanks in advance.

Re: Need help with late model seats
Yes the yellow plug is for the airbags. just leave it alone.
Your seats go forward and back, and the bottom goes up and down - both the front edge and rear edge separately. The lever is rake on the backrest and the knob is manual lumbar. They probably just need power and ground. Make sure you use fat wires, preferably off the battery with an inline fuse.
