annoyed

2006 chevy silverado 1500 non hd ccsb 4x4 5.3....i think i got it all.

My truck makes some annoying noises when i drive. Will sqeak at low speeds kinda like a brake sqeak but will stop as soon as i hit the breaks, then when im making left turns at low speed it sounds like the front left wheel is chirping?? for lack of a better way to describe it. Any ideas?

Re: annoyed

it could, for the brake noise check you brake pads most likey your pads are getting low and it is the squealers hitting and making the lose speed noise which goes away when hitting teh brakes. As for turning it could be a bad cv axle if it is 4x4 or a bad wheel bearing

Re: annoyed

Check your u-joints. Applying the brakes puts enough pressure on the offending u-joint to stop the squeak.
