body filler ?'s
i am just starting to do the bodywork for my project 71' , and i am wondering who makes the best type of body filler to use? since buying all new body panels is out of the question, i can weld, heat, and pound out small dents with only a very small amount of filler needed. i'm not new to fillers though, i have always used "bondo" brand filler when building custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosures for cars, trucks, etc.. but i am just wondering if there was anything better for auto body repairs.
Thanks ! chevyforever

You should also try Glazecoat. It is a thin, easy sanding bondo except it's more like a thick primer. Use this for the little stuff. Also try some of the fiberglass filler as your first fill. Then follow up with bondo or glazecoat to smooth it out. I used this on my truck over 6 years ago and I still have people asking me if I just painted it.

I have also had good luck with Dynalite.
I just got in some of the POR filler to use on a project I am trying to complete. I should know soon how it will work. EdB |
