Well here is my 79 swb tell what you think

Well I got this deal I think on this all original truck with 50k miles for $1100 when I got the truck the brake where stuck. The truck came with some western turbines wheels and straight bar grill which the grill had been changed. The truck had all the molding stolen from the truck when the previous owner had it. Some of the things done so far is all new brakes & lines. Changes the wheels to the rally wheels that I found at a yard sale for $100 wheels rings and caps, Lowered the truck with a 5/5 drop kit and some new tires. I put all the moldings on still need wheel arch molding and top tail gate but this is the truck as it sits now!!!the two last pics are with just the front end dropped will post more pics of the truck

That is the worst truck you could ever own... I tell ya what,... out of the goodness of my heart, I'll come and dispose of it so you don't have to worry with it.

Seriously... very nice truck, you did well on your deal.

Great looking truck! I've got a '79 myself that's setup almost identical to yours with exception of the color. Great deal / choice on the rallys too... the best wheel available in my opinion.

Thanks I would love for it to be 2 tone red and white but solid color looks good I am going to repaint the truck soon. As for the wheels I have always liked the rallys I am thinking of getting 10" rallys for the back but not sure how its going to look

Ha, I was going to say that would look sharp if you did white inside the moldings. Wouldn't take much effort.

Re: Well here is my 79 swb tell what you think

10" rallys for the rear look great! They fill up that extra space in the rear fender wells. I run a set of 15x8's in the front and 15x10's on the rear. I've got BFG 295/50/15 mounted on the 15x10's (5" backspacing) and they fit perfect, no rubbing at all.

Here's a couple pics of mine you can look at to get an idea of what the 10" rallys will look like...

Thanks! ...as for the rallys check out www.summitracing.com , they were the cheapest source when I bought mine. They are wheel vintiques rally wheels but they were cheaper from summit than buying directly from wheel vintiques.

I hear ya. I'm originally from East of the Mississippi. You can drive all over Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Illinois etc....and rarely ever see a short bed, it's all long bed stuff, including myself.

Now I'm out West and that's all I see are short beds, it's like a different kind of people

You got a great deal there for that price. Nailed the stance too. 10" ralleys do look great on the rears. Cant wait till mine come in.
