Re: 72 K20 Cab Body & Paint Complete!

Still have not completed the fuel fill Ryan. The rate of fill is slow since I have to use a funnel with a long hose. I put blanket/plastic over the passenger bed side so fuel does not splash on paint and then insert the funnel with hose.
It is a pain to do it this way but of course this is only temporary.

I am planning on going to the Carlisle, PA car parts flea market in a couple weeks and picking up another fuel fill tube(s). The one I was going to use would have to be modified quite a bit.

Here's a pic of the fuel fill area. Notice there is a hose going into the fuel fill in the lower left corner of the inner wheel well. That is the vent tube from the tank. It is currently longer than needed and the extra is shoved down the fill line after I fill it. It helps block the fill. Also, I am not filling the tank to the top.

Re: 72 K20 Cab Body & Paint Complete!

Put the K20 to work this weekend. Car show on Saturday. Hauling lawn mower and weed eater on Sunday.

Had some great feedback from quite a few on Saturday at the car show. There were some awesome cars there. Below is a picture of a light blue 71 Chevy K10 from York, PA. That truck is by far the nicest restoration I have seen to date on a 67-72 Chevy truck. He was voted one of the top 25 cars on Saturday.
Sam, who owns the truck, said it won best of show at Carlisle, PA one year. It is also on the front of one of the LMC catalogs.
