How much did my truck cost in 1973?
Just curiuos, anyone know roughly what the selling price of my truck might have been back in 1973? It's a '73 3/4 ton Super Cheyenne K20 camper special with lots of options. 350 engine.
For that matter, what makes my Cheyenne "super"? I've had regular cheyenne's before too...

He gave $4300 +/- and thought he had been taken to the cleaners... |

Cheyenne Super was the top option in 73 & 74. My stepdad bought his 74 cheyenne super shortbed stepside with 350/350 combo, hd springs, 2wd for $4700 in 1974. Hope that gives you an idea of cost.

Wow, that's amazing how it's kept it's value over the years. It's worth roughly the same now, try that with a prius. According to an inflation calculator, $5000 in 1973 would be around $25,000 today. That MIGHT buy you the base model today....

Re: How much did my truck cost in 1973?
I have some finance papers(only one page lol) from '68 when my dad took over the payments on my moms 65 Olds Cutlass. The car sold new for $2900 and in '68 my dad only made $400 a month full time, payments were $89 month. It just goes to show that $4000 might not sound like much today but it was a handfull of money back in '73.
