Questions on lifting truck

I have a 82 half to and im looking to get some kind of lift to the damn 4x2.I would of liked to get a suspension lift just to level it out.But i think i want to get a shackle flip on the son of a gun.Someone told me i can get a h hinge shackle flip throw some wooden blocks and a leaf spring under the rear. And then put some 2500 coil springs up front. And im looking to get 4 inches ! Is this true.I was at a shop this morning a 4x4 place but they only refered me to some other "suspension professionals"shop as they didnt do older trucks lol.How much would a package like this cost im not spending more then 400 on this or id rather get a suspension spring lift and level it out.My truck already has shocks

I wouldn't trust anything from airbagit.com.You know fabtech use to make a 2wd lift kit if you look hard you might find one used on ebay or somewhere on the net.

Re: Questions on lifting truck

My only worry would be longer springs putting the control arms out of their designed arc and inducing a lot of bumpsteer and accelerated wear.

Shackle flip, no wood blocks! Hit the junkyard or parts board and get a 4wd frame or components and swap a front axle onto your 2wd frame. You'd like it in the long run.

Run away from airbagit.com.
