Red face question on inner fenders

We were working on Jason's show truck (which we do not get around to very often) and found some differences on the driver inner fender and would like to get some knowledgable input. The hole for the clip that holds the emergency brake cable is lower and has a welded square nut on the back side and a dimple where the previous yrs hole was located. Also there is a factory indention with a hole , lower front, to hold the clip for the alt wire. We saw this on a 72 but do not know what other yrs are like this. HA.. now we need a NOS inner fender as described above as the one we have will not work on this build.

Even an old dog can learn new stuff.... Paul and Jason

bump for you.

What year is Jason's truck?

Gonna be hard to find a new old stock of any part on these trucks. If you post a "want to buy" in the parts section you may be able to find a decent used one.

Man, that sounds like a nice one. Post up some pics of the truck and also a pic of the wheel well problem you're encountering.

Re: question on inner fenders

Paul, my 70 has the square nut and the hole for the alt wire harness like you describe. Hope this helps. I saw an ad for a pair of NOS inner fenders on here the other day.

Hey Mark, thanks for the input. I am not sure but I think the earlier ones might have been a 67-68 deal. anybody else with an opinion please chime in.
Paul

Re: question on inner fenders

Yes,the driver side 67/68s are different due to the different emergency brake design/location. The same goes for the alternator wire mount. So,you are saying what you have is the 67/68 one? It sounds like you have and are describing the later design in your first post.

That is correct. I never knew there was a difference but the 67-68 emergency brake difference makes sense. So now we are looking for a 69-72 NOS inner fender for driver side. I assume the passenger side are all the same.
Always appreciate you Paul
