Squeeking when moving

I get a high pitched Squeeking when I'm driving but if I put a bit of pressure on the brake peddle it stops, not enough pressure to engage the brakes or the lights but just enough to stop that sound, any hints?

Re: Squeeking when moving

Your front pads are low.
What you are hearing is the wear indicator contacting the rotor.
They are designed to "sing" while there is no brake pressure and when you apply break pressure they stop squealing.

x2 Yup time to change the front pads. The squeelers are built into the pads to warn you "hey mofo I needs a changin", they do this to annoy you into doing it before you wear your pads down to nothing and do serious damage the rotor.

Both of those sound possible, I haven't touched my brake pads ever but the brake booster did get replaced with a used one, I'll check my pads then the line
