No Pressure On Brake Pedal.

Recently replaced my carb and while I was at it I went ahead and replaced the vacuum line from the booster. The system was bled several months ago along with new pads on the front. Pedal has always been spongy but I feel like it has progressively got worse.

When I press the pedal I have what feels like 0 pressure until maybe the last inch of movement and it is really tough. Driving I get no brakes (that I can notice) until the last inch of movement.

My truck has front disk, rear drums, and is power brakes.

Could my booster be bad? If so is there a trick to test or something?

Thanks.

Re: No Pressure On Brake Pedal.

Sounds like a bad master cylinder to me...

Only test I know for the booster is it should hold vacuum after you shut off the engine. Kill the engine and you should feel 2 or 3 "assists" when depressing the pedal.
