ls1 6 speed conversion?

Thinking about possibly doing ls1/t56 into my 75 Jimmy 2wd, soon to be a roadster project....have complete donor car (2001 Z28).....what are the main things you think I will have problems with? Has anyone swapped a t56 into a Blazer before? Trying to decide whether to put it in the Jimmy or my 64 el camino......

I don't have a clue how that'd work but it sounds like it'd be fun.

Re: ls1 6 speed conversion?

I would start looking for an '85-up hydraulic pedal assembly. You could probably use all of the clutch hydraulics from the Camaro. I looked into doing an LT1/6speed swap into my truck, but that only lasted a little while. I remembered I am too lazy to shift gears.

Re: ls1 6 speed conversion?

shifter location on the t56 camaros is on the rear of the transmission and that puts it to far back, so you will be looking at moving that.
