Wiper Motor: What Does This Fit?

I continue to work on my basket case '55 2nd Series shortbed. I took this motor out of the basket today, only to realize that it doesn't fit my truck. It bolts to the dash but not to the firewall. It has 3 wires. (I believe I need one that's a one-speed, and probably has 1 or 2 wires.) So here are the questions:

1) What does this one fit?
2) Would I be able to use the arms if I found the right motor? (probably not since the motor in the Assembly Manual has an arm shaft that points front-to-rear rather than up and down)

Thanks,

That is not a truck wiper, the on and off switch is driven by cable on mine

That's interesting. I thought it might be like for a '60 truck because the bracket bolts to the underside of the dash (but doesn't fit the firewall) and the transmissions actually are the right spacing for the holes in the cowl. It's completely different from the one on my '55 Chevy sedan, which is also driven by a cable.

Anyone recognize this beast?

Re: Wiper Motor: What Does This Fit?

Somebody over on the 60-66 forum thought this might be a '58-'59 motor. Can anyone confirm?
