K10 owners - exhaust routing?
My truck has a REALLY poorly made replacement exhaust system on it, and when I refresh the motor soon I'm going mto make a new system.
Can someone post up pictures of what the stock 4x4 exhaust system looks like? I'm trying to figure out how it should be routed. I don't have a picture, but my current passenger's exhaust comes off the manifold and runs straight back to the bellhousing, then goes 90 degrees left and straight into the driver's pipe. It goes below the front driveshaft to do this, so it hangs a good 4" lower than any other part of the chassis (basically as low as the front pumpkin) I'm intending to do 2.5" primary tubes to a merge on the driver's side alongside the transmission, and then a 3" pipe the rest of the way to the stock exit. With the NP241/NV4500 combo, there isn't enough room to snake a pipe past the transfer case and cross over behind the cab. I'm thinking at this point about routing the passenger's primary forward, under the motor below the stock crossmember and meeting the driver's primary right below the manifold dump. Any suggestions or anyone who's done something similar?

Needless to say that couldn't remain that way for long. I also was accumulating parts to switch my 3-speed manual jammer er I mean manual transmission out for a th350 and there was no way that system was going back on after taking it off to get the trans/adapter/t-case switched. Long story short I went the the dual exhaust kit in the LMC catalog. I didn't know it at the time but what I ordered from LMC came drop shipped from a company here in MN called Heartthrob Exhaust. http://www.heartthrobexhaust.com/ This "kit" had everything I needed to hook up to my stock exhaust manifolds in the box except for a hanger on the side that didn't have exhaust running back from the factory. Rather than pay $1,000,000.00 for a stock hanger from a big block truck I paid around $2.59 for a generic hanger from NAPA. The exhaust has been on there since November of 2001. I've replaced the mufflers once. The pictures are from my ipod phone and resized on there so they aren't that great. The passenger side is REAL close to the t-case but doesn't hit or rattle when I drive. It looks like it hits in the pictures but it does not. I would use this exhaust system again if I had to. And yes my speedo cable output o-ring needs to be replaced.

Re: K10 owners - exhaust routing?
I used same kit on my 72 k10 except purchased from auto anything and recieved free shipping- i think $168 to the house. I had an extra stock hanger but other than that it was a pretty easy bolt on.
