First of all dragonmaster093 ... to you new internet truck forum and from Ohio.

Things to look for:
*Rust around the windshield
*Rust around the rocker panels
*Rust on the inside of the trucl near the floor vents,
*If the SPID sticker is on the glove box door it will tell you if this truck is original or not. ie: Engine, options, etc
*Check the frame out underneath

These are a few things to look at and maybe others can chime in

Any intrest in a 72 GMC Long Bed? It is a Sierra Grande, Air Cab. Really really nice cab and front clip but the bed has some dings in it. Dark Green ..

Let me know and I'll get you some pics. ~2000 range. Not sure. Nice old man's truck for sure. Are you open for GMCs?

I am sure most will attest that you will know when the truck is right for you. I looked at eight trucks in person probably 30 or 40 saw on different sites before I bought mine. Get the right truck and you will be happy and not dreading that you settled.

My suggestion is look for a 72 as they have power steering, A/C, and Disc Brakes. The truck your looking at most likely doesn't have any of that but some prefer it that way. Look under the cab at the supports to see if they are rusted out.

Welcome from Kentucky and good luck in your truck search. That 68 looks pretty good in the pics. Rust in all the aforementioned places can be a problem. Find what you want in the condition you want to start with, I chose to work at building mine like I want from many parts vehicles. It would have been easier and quicker to have just found what I really wanted to start with, but I enjoy working on it and when I'm done it, I will know every nut and bolt and weld!

well drove down to look at truck spur of the moment thing got there pulled up the and and i'll boad i countede damned if no contact number. but on this 20 mile stretch of road i counted atleast 12 67-72 trucks in various states of repair/disrepair. next to barns in fields seen a c-30 flat bed and even a wrecker took a different way home and came across a pretty clean 67 owner says under 100k on it solid body did have a pretty dented front fender but other wise from what i seen just surface rust did have a walker lift gate on back but he also has a chrome rear for it too but was 2500 and thats
more thaan i can spend right now cause it would have to have some sanding and some primer on to stop it frome getting bad in the rust plus fender and rubber too me it would only be about a 1500 truck was 6cyl and 3 on the tree. now did the 68-9 trucks come with disk at all or if i find one will it be a conversion thing?

Well here is my luck had a car sold found an awesome 4x4 can't remember exact model but was the upscale 71-72 and at last minute guy gets screwed by state on his taxes so now truck is on hold till car sells. So if anybody knows of some one in to olds G body wagons let me know
