I do not want to take a chance of getting banned, and do not want this to be mus-construed as an advertisement, so I will not mention any company names. The company I work for has a new GM dealership in our network of businesses. I called them to order a NEW (NOT REMAN) Delco A/C compressor because I could get the complete compressor with clutch for $199.50 with no shipping. I got the compressor the next day.

So, just for $h!t$ and grins, I decided to ask about the possibility of finding some NOS GM dash pads sitting in a warehouse somewhere. I asked the parts guy to check in to it and call me back later on if he could come up with anything. I never expected to hear from him again, but he called me less than 5 minutes later and told me we had 3 of them in stock, new in the box and ready to be dyed, for a whopping $361.00 each! And if I placed it on a stock order, I wouldn't even have to pay freight!

GIVE YOUR LOCAL GM DEALER A CALL FOR PARTS..THIS PROVES NOS PARTS ARE STILL OUT THERE!!!

My local gm dealer barely knows what a straight axle is a dash pad would probably be a short phone call lol

Part # for the compressor is 88964871. They call it a kit because it comes with the needed seals and o-rings.

I have a 1986 K15 and im in the proccess of doing a frame off restoration. The only part i am unable to find is this dashpad, and i have searched high and low. I dont want to get you banned either but is there anyway you could provide me with the number you called for the pad. I would greatly appreciate it.

Dealers will usually only direct ship to other dealers. You'll be hard pressed to find a GM parts house that will direct ship to a house or an individual. We get stuff direct shipped from GM at different times, just to save a day in delivery. But it still gets invoiced from our local dealer we buy from.
Your best bet is to call your local GM dealer (find the largest GM dealer that has a real parts warehouse) and call them. Even if they do not have it they can run it on the locator and perhaps get one brought in for you to buy. I know in the Tulsa area Marc Miller Pontiac/GMC is the largest parts warehouse for GM. I think in the Oklahoma City area someone like Howard Parts Distribution Warehouse is going to be one of the largest.
If you don't know who is the biggest and best in your area, call a local large body shop (non dealership shop) and ask. Even if they don't buy from them they'll be able to tell you.

Cuz I have seen some nos dash pads came colored ( there is a code for the color)
