69 chevy with a gmc front clip???

i just purchased a 69 chevy swb and the title says 69 chevy but the front has the set up for a gmc dual headlight assembly even the wiring is for a gmc however the guy i got it from gave me the front portion to hold the radiator and lights for a chevy so i can swap it. My question is will the hood/fenders bolt up to the front chevy portion?

Well, the core support will bolt up and so will the fenders....the problem is the grille won't fit. The GMC fenders do not have the relief around the perimeter for the grille surround to sit in. Bottom line is you'll need to get some chevy fenders too.

how can i tell what fenders i have? like what can i look for.

Lol...I just bought my 69 GMC with a Chevy front end...I am trying to figure out what I need to do in order to swap it for the correct grill etc. By the sounds of this I may have Chevy fenders too?...hmm. Guess that may be why they went with chevy on the tailgate too...maybe I can just save some time and use a little whiteout on the title / vin....lol

67-68 chevy fenders and 67-72 gmc fenders are all the same with the upper outside portion of the fender that would make the line with the hood goes all the way to the front of the fender on a 69-72 chevy fender there will be a 1 or 2 " indention at the begining near the headlight for the grille to cover. Sorry it is hard to explain with out pictures and i am at work without .
