I got mine from NAPA. My local store didn't have it on their shelf, but the warehouse had them.

Re: Can't find part

AC Delco part number U7000 has 3 ports that are capped off or U7001 has all 6 ports open.

Re: Can't find part

I thought Lordco carried or could easily get Standard Motor Products (aka Blue Streak) stuff ... if so, FV1 is the regular 3-port switching valve.

That was the same look I got when I asked for 9/16-18 lug nuts with one flat side, open so the stud threads all the way through. Thankfully my friend knew where they kept some in their old stock. Now I have the number for them and am working on a whole new set.

Re: Can't find part

Are you sure it's the selector valve that's bad? I thought mine was bad on my '78 and I couldn't find a six port anywhere. Turns out, it wasn't the selector valve after all, it was actually the selector switch on the dash that wasn't letting enough juice get through to engage the solenoid in the selector valve. Saved me about $100. Worth double checking if you haven't already.

Re: Can't find part

On the single wire 73-8? trucks... You can use a quality DPDT ON-ON toggle switch like McMaster Carr #7343K821 in place of the darn poor excuse for a switch that GM chose. You'll need to cut off one corner terminal to use the 5 position GM factory plug because the 6th hole is blocked.

This is the 6 port AC Delco solenoid valve.http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-467513-Fuel-Selector... http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-467513-Fuel-Selector...
Summit Racing lists the 3 port Standard Motor Products FV1.

Unfortunately the U7000 & U7001 as well as the valve listed for the 77 at Rock Auto are actually the later 1980s plastic 6 port Motorized Pollack unit. The motorized Pollack is not a drop-in unit. You'll need to replace/modify the entire tank switch and fuel gauge harness to make it work. Rock Auto is generally good to deal with but this should be noted in the information for this part...

Re: Can't find part

That looks like a 3 port to me.

One inlet comes from the driver's side tank.

One inlet comes from the passenger's side tank.

The outlet goes to the fuel pump mounted on the engine.

Ditto on this. I picked up a valve and switch from NAPA, replaced the switch first and that was the problem. Fixed it for under $10. Plus, it's a whole lot easier to swap out the switch than the valve itself.

Re: Can't find part

Well I pulled it already and by passed it for now and I plan on renewing the whole system for that I just couldn't find the selector valve any where but plan on buying the Valle then the switch and wire all in at once, everything is slashed up with the wires on that truck so time for new all around I think
