I bought n.o.s. door locks and then I took my rear lock and the new keys to a locksmith. He redid the lock to fit the new keys.By the way,the locks the vendors sell, work good.I got a set from ricks for my blazer. The n.o.s. locks were in the glovebox when I bought the suburban.

Thanks Mike i did buy a set of locks for my 71 burb and i was going to do the same thing as you did . I come to find out that my barn door took a different type of key so i had to re-key it . So now i have 3 keys one for ign. one for front doors and one for my barn doors .
I hope i get lucky on my 70 burb 4x4 when i re-key it . Jose |

I took the key for the tailgate of the burb so i could get the same letter key. then off to the lock smith to make the new locks use the same key as the old key.
