Blazer (Rally? Wheels?)
Please help!!
I see a lot of the Blazers with what looks like factory type rally wheels ("sorta" like the ones that came factory on the Corvette and Camaro). They appear to be steel (with a large amount of holes around the wheel), with a beauty ring and center cap. Did these type wheels come factory on a 67-72 Blazer? Also, what is the size of these wheels?? I also see a lot of aftermarket wheels, so how hard are these steel wheels to come by? Any of you guys have any for sale?? |

rally wheels actually came on the 73 and newer trucks, but everyone has been putting them on the older trucks (and they do look good)

Mark70Z- Where are you located at?? I may have a set of steel wheels for you. I will check tomorrow. If you aren't to far away maybe we can make a deal. Depending on you location tho' you might want to find a set close to you to save on shipping.

Ya the only "orig" rallys were the old white steelies. The upgraded wheel treatment was the full hubcaps. The steelies had a cap in the center of the wheel but that's about it.
Mine are the 70's and 80's Rallies.I like em.

IMHO - No wheel looks better on our blazers (especially 4x4) than the Rallys. I've got a set of 4 to replace my wheels when it is time.

Yes... BobbyK and HatGuy (by the way "both" of your guys trucks look GREAT!) pictured the "exact" wheel I was talking about. They really look good on the Blazer and that's ultimately what I would like to put on mine. I have aftermarket wheels on there right now and they look all right, but the rallies would look much better IMO.
1970Blazin... I live in Jacksonville, FL. Is that anywhere near you? Also, no one has said what the size of the Rally wheels are? Also, it looks like around 31-33's are on the ones pictured. Any problems with putting 33's on the rim? |

The rims are 15"x8".I fit my 33"x12.5"x15" tires on no problem.

1970Blazin....HA!!! First I have to figure out how to go back into my profile and edit it.. I sure do appeciate all the nice people in this site. I just signed up last week and I have received so much help; it's been great! Hopefully I can help you guys out some way in the future. I'll let you know when I get to the point of posting pictures; I'm sure I'll need help with that too.
I do have another question concerning the Rally Wheels. I noticed in another post (somewhere?) the person asked whether the truck was a 2wd or 4wd...does it matter on the Rally Wheel what it goes on? I know there are differnt lugs, i.e. 5 lug, or 6 lug, but does it matter other than that..? THANKS! |

I like the simple look of the factory white deep dished 16.5" x 8" HD wheels.
They were uncommon when the Blazer was brand new. |

Mark- I think the diff between 2WD and 4WD (someone correct me if I am wrong) is that the 4WD needs a hole where the center cap is for the hubs. Maybe there are more differences, I don't know.
Phillip- I will check and see what I have in the way of center caps and chrome rings. I will PM you. Thanks! |

I am going to switch from aliminum to factory '72 rally wheels soon, I've got my spare mounted on one and it fits great, a 35x12.5x15 on a 15x 8 rim, They are the same as the military blazers, I had to get two of them, just black instead of white. I need the correct hubcaps though, I have two chrome yellow bowtie ones but need four '72 chrome ones. Not a big deal now though.

The stock '73 and up 6 lug rallies are 15 X 8, and a 12.50 wide tire (33 X 12.50, or 35 X 12.50) will mount and run just fine on them. Since only 4X4s used the six lug configuration in the era when these wheels were made, almost all of them will come with two closed and two open center caps with 4X4 stickers on the closed (rear) set. There are also 5 lug versions of the rally wheels, but I think most of them were 15 X 7?
