OK guys I need some feedback on selling Frank

I have my truck parked out behing the dealership that I work at. The other day one of the salesmen came back and asked if I wanted to sell my truck. It seems like a weekly occurance. I said "Sure for 10 thousand" just joking around. Now it sounds like the guy is seriously considering buying it. I know the thing isnt worth half of that but I guess 10 grand would be very nice in the old bank accout... Thoughts?

Agreed, why not! Take the knowledge you have now from building you truck, find another one and dig in on another build.

Re: OK guys I need some feedback on selling Frank

it is worth exactly to the cent what somebody is willing to pay for it.

Like everybody is saying if you can get another one and make it better for the 10K then do it.

If you are attached to that one and don't think you could replace it for 10K then keep it

10 G, A new truck is 40+ The plus is knowing what your truck needs. Replaceing it with a simular year could be tough. If your partial to the era you have its worth keeping what you have. I was pondering the thaught of selling my 68 Dodge A100 pickup. Was offered double what I have invested! After some thaught and discussion with my wife and a good friend I'd be kickng myself as soon as it left the driveway.

Re: OK guys I need some feedback on selling Frank

The only thing with selling is if you can find another one in comparable shape (body wise) for a decent amount. If yours has little rust it'll be hard to find another that doesn't need rust repair and then it's whether or not you want to take the time to do all that.

If he's serious about buying it for 10, it could be a sign that there isn't much near the hills comparable to yours. But money is nice to have, especially if it's a profit from what you've put into it.

Re: OK guys I need some feedback on selling Frank

I have a waiting list of projects. Even if I could make some cash on one of my trucks I don't think I'd sell...because to replace it I'd have to put another item on my project list.
