Re: Body Cart Plans / Drawings

This is what i built. I used 3" casters but would suggest larger ones if you plan to roll it around a lot.

Re: Body Cart Plans / Drawings

I copied this one almost exactly. Body is still on it today almost 2 years later.

Just now getting around to building a rotisserie out of 2 engine stands to put it on. Then start body work now that the chassis is nearly done.

Finished mine based on some of your posts. Built a wood frame on top of a metal body cart loaned to me by a friend who has a body shop. Some pics…

You going to lag bolt the cab to the top of the posts? (Through the cab mount holes)

Are you going to rig it to tilt at all?

Looks pretty sturdy. Come build mine for me LOL

Re: Body Cart Plans / Drawings

Yes, going to run bolts (either lag, or maybe the actual body bolts) thru the mounting holes in the floor into the posts. Had to make different height posts because of the way the Blazer body mounts are stepped.

Not going to set it up to tilt at all. That was a whole other can of worms I have no interest in attempting. I just needed a cart I could attach the tub to in order to trailer it to my buddy's paint shop across town. This should do the trick.

I have a wooden cart I don't need anymore if anyone wants to pick it up...looks the same as the one pictured above posted by Classic383.
