shift linkage question

Ok guys, I have a 72 blazer. I am having trouble with the shift rod were it mets up at the column. It goes down though all of the gears fine however, when I try to pull it back up into park, the rod slips down and does not come all the way back up into park. I tightend the bolt up on the back side and it is still slipping. Any thoughts?

Re: shift linkage question

No problem. I didn't have the gap washer? lined up correctly. The one that tightens up to the shaft was turned around backwards. It wasn't not getting tight up against the shaft. I know that seems very simple but after working on this thing all day I start to go a little crazy sometimes.
