Re: burnout

Yes ,,that was tops,,what engine you running in that bad boy? I know this may be a question many would not have to ask ,,but back in my day I would tighten the front brakes making it easier to burn out..is this what you do or is it that engine that powerful you need not tighten the fronts..

Of course I had some weak cars too..50 plymouh six ,,56 chevy pickup six ect ect..LOL

Re: burnout

GOPAPA ,It's the original 402 .030 over TRW forged pistons ,comp ratio 10.8,The rods resized and arp bolts ,The heads have some port matching and valve area work, Traded the cast crank and some $ for a steel 427 unit, I went with a comp cams hyd roller .566 lift 270 duration 215@.050 I bought the k-kit witch comes with cam, lifters, springs, locks, retainers, pushrods, timimg chain and gear. I also got the pro magnum roller rockers, edelbrock rpm intake,750 holley mec sec carb. MSD dizzy & 6AL box ,timing 35 total. 10inch converter from jegs 3000 stall in the original th400. New eaton posi in the factory 12 bolt, 3.73 gears, p325/50 mt dragradial. and no , I dont need to tightin up the fronts . It does have a line lock witch holds the front brakes on. You just get em going in 2nd gear and cut her loose.

Re: burnout

Those tires don't seem to provide a lot of traction...might want to look into that

Re: burnout

That was about a 10k mile burnout!.......love the little smoldering piles of rubber. Is that the manufacturers recommended tire break-in procedure?!!?!?
