Defroster
Hi Im having some trouble getting my defrost to work. My truck is an 82 with ac. No matter what position my climate control switch is in my vents all blow air the same. If i switch to defrost it blows the same air just with the ac compressor engaging as well, but the vents dont blow air any differently.

Re: Defroster
Look for a vacuum line under the hood that comes out of the fire wall by the a/c/heater box I think its purple and make sure its hooked up to a vacuum source.

Re: Defroster
Hopefully it's a simple vac line missing and not a blend door actuator issue. Easiest things are the vac line, and also, there's a vac switch behind the climate control switch. Easy to replace and fairly cheap.
If it's your blend door actuator, check out this thread... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=460942

Re: Defroster
not sure if it's the same
the def/floor valve inside the "air box" can be ajusted (rod into one of three holes) in some to be always a little up, or down, or all up, or down
