Does anyone know where this is located on an 82 truck? I cant seem to find it and its not part of the wiper motor.

Re: Wiper pulse module

'82 has the wiper switch on the dash, so I'd check behind the switch. Maybe trace the wires if it's not right there. On the 84+ trucks I think it's at the base of the steering column.

On my 79 it was built right into the switch itself

Re: Wiper pulse module

It should be on the bottom of the column behind the removable panel like this:

Not on an '82 model.
'78-'83 they changed out the dash mounted switch with one that had a sliding(Off,delay, low, high) switch that also rotated for the delay timer control. The actual control module for it simply mounted in between the harness and the switch itself.

the switch front view.....

Back view....

The control module....

Both of them together.....

Yeah '77 was the first year for intermittent wipers and their design was a one year only thing from what I've learned/heard from numerous sources. The ones I showed above are a direct plug and play for the '78-'83 models

Re: Wiper pulse module

Is this plug and play module still available for intermitent wiper. I have just regular wipers on my 76 and would love plug and play this module into it.

Re: Wiper pulse module

Possibly. I'll have to research it when I get back to work next week.

Re: Wiper pulse module

On an 85, would it be under the steering wheel behind the cover correct. Also, would the switch be the culprit if my intermittent/pulse works at times and at times it don't? I replaced the wiper motor but the pulse is still the same. Thanks.

Can't do it with a 76. There's something different about the motor on the 73-77 trucks vs 78-91.
The 77 setup might work but they're scarcer than hens teeth.
