Lowered leaf spring trucks..need some pics!

I just bought all the parts [i hope] to lower my 72. 2 1/2" drop spindles, 2" front drop springs, front and rear drop springs, and upper ball joints. All of this from CPP. And a rear flip kit from DJM, [BTW this is a very nicely made kit]. Just need to know what else i might need? I'm going to try and do all of this in a weekend as i drive my truck every day to work. Just wondering if anyone that has done this could share some tips or pics on their install. Also post up some pics of your dropped leaf spring truck to get me motivated!! A couple pics of the the truck i'm lowering. Thanks guys. Joseph

Let me see if I understand you correctly.

Front:
1) 2 1/2" drop spindles
2) 2" front drop springs

Rear:
1) rear flip kit from DJM

front and rear drop springs

I assume you meant drop shocks?

Is there a reason you are changing just the upper ball joints?
(73-87 style spindle or 71-72 spindle?)

I would suggest a bolt-in c-notch for the rear of your truck to go with the DJM flip kit.

Re: Lowered leaf spring trucks..need some pics!

here are a few pics of my 72 swb leaf spring truck. ill post more pics later on. It is lowered by flipping the axle in rear and lowering springs/spindles up front. rides great, but with new engine this week, its probably going to need a notch.

I also raised the front spring hangers up 2" to get another 1" of drop.

Re: Lowered leaf spring trucks..need some pics!

Thanks guys, and nice trucks! Lolife, yes i meant drop shocks, and the upper ball joints came with the drop spindles i ordered. Also i do have a c-notch kit for it also, forgot to mention it though. I was really wondering about the shock mounts. Will i need some shock relocator brackets, if so what do i need, and also do i need the lowered sway bar brackets for the front? Thanks for the help, Joseph
