Re: Framr weight
Maybe this will help...
1970 Chevrolet C10 Not much had changed on the 1970 Chevrolet Pickups from the previous year. The grill featured the Chevrolet nameplate through the center while the bow tie logo moved to the front and center of the hood. C10 or K10 models could be equipped with either a 115 in with a 6 1/2 ft. cargo box or 127 in wheelbase with a 8 ft. cargo box available in Fleetside or Stepside models. Standard engines included a 155 hp 250 6-cylinder. Standard Features include: Full-width bench seat, panoramic rear window, padded dash, heater/defroster, padded sun visors, low-profile control knobs, safety glass, painted front bumper (chrome bumpers were a separate option), 2-speed windshield wipers, windshield defrosters, low profile steering wheel, directional signals and more. The Custom C10 pickup could be identified by the Custom/10 nomenclature on the front fenders, plus there was metal trim around the windshield, rear window, and vent window. The CST (Custom Sport Truck) which could be identified by the CST/10 nameplate on the front fender had a custom woodgrain insert and front side marker lamps with chrome trim. 1970 Chevrolet Pickup Production Numbers Model Number Body/Style Number Body Type & Seating Factory Price Shipping Weight Total Production 1/2 Ton Chevy Van - Model G - Series 100 - 90 in wheelbase GS11005 - Panel $2,490 3,059 lbs 3,933 GS11006 - Sportvan $2,725 3,255 lbs 134 GS11026 - Custom Sportvan $2,850 3,362 lbs 57 GS11036 - Deluxe Sportvan $3,035 3,400 lbs 42 1/2 Ton Chevy Van - Model G - Series 200 - 108 in wheelbase GS11005 - Panel $2,675 3,210 lbs 3,069 GS11006 - Sportvan $2,850 3,350 lbs 422 GS11026 - Custom Sportvan $2,975 3,480 lbs 303 GS11036 - Deluxe Sportvan $3,160 3,425 lbs 158 3/4 Ton Chevy Van - Model G - Series 20 - 108 in wheelbase GS21305 - Panel $2,745 3,281 lbs 1,195 GS21306 - Sportvan $2,970 3,414 lbs 134 GS21326 - Custom Sportvan $3,095 3,538 lbs 61 GS21336 - Deluxe Sportvan $3,280 3,582 lbs 45 1/2 Ton - Model C - Series 10 - 115 in wheelbase CS10703 - Chassis & Cab $2,405 3,090 lbs 2,084 CS10734 - Fleetside 6.5 ft. $2,560 3,506 lbs 40,754 CS10704 - Step-Side 6.5 ft. $2,520 3,426 lbs 40,754 1/2 Ton - Model C - Series 10 - 127 in wheelbase CS10903 - Chassis & Cab $2,445 3,107 lbs 7,277 CS10934 - Fleetside 8 ft. $2,595 3,605 lbs 234,904 CS10904 - Step-Side 8 ft. $2,560 3,510 lbs 11,857 CS10905 - Panel $3,040 3,730 lbs 3,965 CS10906 - Suburban $3,250 3,862 lbs 11,332 1/2 Ton - Model K - Series 10 - 115 in wheelbase KS10703 - Chassis & Cab $2,975 3,295 lbs 64 KS10734 - Fleetside 6.5 ft. $3,158 3,711 lbs 2,554 KS10704 - Step-Side 6.5 ft. $3,090 3,631 lbs 1,629 1/2 Ton - Model K - Series 10 - 127 in wheelbase KS10903 - Chassis & Cab - - 26 KS10934 - Fleetside 8 ft. $3,165 3,810 lbs 7,348 KS10904 - Step-Side 8 ft. $3,158 3,715 lbs 464 KS10905 - Panel $3,641 3,923 lbs - KS10906 - Suburban $3,849 4,055 lbs - 1/2 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 10 - 127 in wheelbase PS10535 - Chassis $1,835 2,120 lbs 211 PS10535 - Step-Van $3,139 3,674 lbs 2,526 3/4 Ton - Model C - Series 20 - 127 in wheelbase CS20903 - Chassis & Cab $2,650 3,496 lbs 7,277 CS20934 - Fleetside 8 ft. $2,790 3,871 lbs 70,880 CS20904 - Step-Side 8 ft. $2,752 3,776 lbs 5,856 CS20905 - Panel $3,269 3,991 lbs 1,032 CS20906 - Suburban $3,441 4,113 lbs 2,246 Long Horn Pickup - Model C - Series 20 133 in wheelbase CE21034 - Pickup 8.5 ft. $2,854 3,912 lbs 5,281 3/4 Ton - Model K - Series 20 - 127 in wheelbase KS20903 - Chassis & Cab $3,402 3,606 lbs 582 KS20934 - Fleetside 8 ft. $3,540 4,101 lbs 6,124 KS20904 - Step-Side 8 ft. $3,502 4,006 lbs 953 KS20905 - Panel $4,019 4,221 lbs - KS20906 - Suburban $4,190 4,343 lbs 541 3/4 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 20 - 125 in wheelbase PS20842 - Chassis $2,160 2,819 lbs 421 PS20835 - Steel Step-Van $3,905 5,206 lbs 1,520 PS20835 - Aluminum Step-Van - - 60 3/4 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 20 - 133 in wheelbase PS21842 - Chassis $2,195 2,841 lbs 184 PS21835 - Step-Van $4,015 5,437 lbs 872 PS21835 - Aluminum Step-Van $4,985 4,638 lbs 64 1 Ton - Model C - Series 30 - 133 in wheelbase CS31002 - Chassis & Cowl - - 138 CS31003 - Chassis & Cab $2,735 3,641 lbs 14,873 CS31034 - Fleetside 8.5 ft. $2,935 4,157 lbs 1,404 CS31004 - Step-Side 8.5 ft. $2,875 4,071 lbs 2,101 1 Ton Forward Control - Model C - Series 30 - 157 in wheelbase CS31103 - Chassis & Cab $2,775 3,788 lbs - 1 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 30 - 125 in wheelbase PS30842 - Chassis $2,320 2,992 lbs 446 PS30835 - Step Van $4,080 5,379 lbs 1,520 PT30835 - King Step Van (Diesel) $5,780 6,101 lbs 3 PT30855 - Aluminum King Step Van (Diesel) $6,570 5,439 lbs 35 1 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 30 - 133 in wheelbase PS31042 - Chassis $2,350 3,015 lbs 1,758 PS31035 - Step Van $4,190 5,611 lbs 1,624 PS31035 - King Step Van $5,895 6,338 lbs - PS31055 - Aluminum King Step Van $6,860 5,537 lbs 68 1 Ton Forward Control - Model P - Series 30 - 157 in wheelbase PS31442 - Chassis $2,350 - 2,608 PS31435 - King Step Van $6,040 6,677 lbs 1,207 PS31455 - Aluminum King Step Van $7,170 5,714 lbs 76 Chassis Data Model Wheelbase Overall Length Front Tread Rear Tread GVW Tires G10 90 in - - - 3,900 - 5,000 lbs 6.95 x 14 in G20 108 in - - - 5,200 - 6,200 lbs 7.75 x 15 C10/K10 115 in 186.75 in 63.1 in 61.1 in 4,400-5,400 / 5,200-5,600 lbs G78 x 14 / G78 x 15 C10/K10 127 in 206.25 in 63.1 in 61.1 in 4,400-5,400 / 5,200-5,600 lbs H78 x 15 / G78 x 15 P10 102 in - - - 4,600 - 5,400 lbs G78 x 15 C20/K20 127 in (Longhorn 133 in) 206.25 - - 6,200-7,500 / 6,400-7,500 lbs 7 x 17.5 / 7 x 17.5 six-ply P20 125 / 137 in - - - 6,500 - 7,500 lbs 8.75 x 16.5 C30 133 in - - - 6,600 - 14,000 lbs 8.75 x 16.5 in P30 125 / 137 / 157 in - - - 7,300 - 14,000 lbs 8.75 x 16.5 in Vin Number Decoding - 1970 Chevrolet Pickup Location: On plate attached to the rear face of left-hand door hinge pillar and on right side of cowl under hood. Re: Framr weight
Thanks, cool info! BTW, I think "ttt" on a post after only two hours on the same day you post is somewhat poor form... patience is a virtue! Unless there was some emergency, I suppose. A frame weight emergency...
