A-Arms Bolts
Well my right front upper a-arm alingment bolt backed it self out somehow and all shims fell out. So i figured i might as well re-lower it using spindles and coils so i did that yesterday. Used 3 inch spindles and 2 inch coils. I checked today and the dang bolt backed it self out again and i lost 1 shim. Why would it keep backing out? Should i put some blue locktite on it, then a nylock jam nut also to insure it wont loosen again? anyone do there own camber caster adjustments at home??

Re: A-Arms Bolts
The nuts are friction lockers so they are slightly pinched. After a while they get worn out so does the bolt threads. Replace these and you should be all good

Re: A-Arms Bolts
so just replace the whole stud? Today i just torqued them all down then installed a jam nut in front of them see what happens

Double nut can work.

Re: A-Arms Bolts
You need to use what is called a "Prevailing Torque Nut" its a use once throw away nut. Nylocks are not used in suspension work ever because they back off.

Re: A-Arms Bolts
I don't agree with Dave. Nylock nuts are spec'd for applications up to 450 degrees temperature. They work fine on suspension or any other non hi-temp applications.
