tilt questions

I came across a mid 70's winnie/van rv.It has a tilt colum with the auto shifter on the dash.It has rubber turn/tilt knobs red hazard button and a truck steering wheel the harness looks correct.
questions are;
Did they make a floor shifted van colum?(I assume not this is why I think its a truck colum)or strictly a rv colum

anybody have the measurements of the truck/van or rv colum?

It has swivels joints on the shaft to connect it to the power box instead of the rag joint should I grab the whole shaft?

It also has what looks to be truck mid height buckets but on captians swivel mounts anbody got pics of the bottoms of 69-72 buckets or 73-? buckets i can compare too. or are they the same?

these guys are stripping this thing real fast for scrap I can get these things for next to free if I can act fast any help would be great

Re: tilt questions

By the way it dont have any (bent or straight) shift lever at the bottom.
and the neutral saftey is below the auto shifter that is on the dash.
I was searching "motorhome" and didnt find much then I searched "rv" an found more infothe colum will be mine!

Re: tilt questions

Went to get this and didnt check camera batt. b4 leaving
I must've been color blind when looking at the hazard switch. it has the faded black cone knob for the hazard
It has a mount on it that I think might need to come off
It is 30" from the begining of the tube/bell to the bottom of the tube with about 1"-1 1/2 of shaft on the bottom
seems roughly 4" shorter than my non tilt tree spd colum(truck is currently t350 shifted on the floor)
So this colum should put the bell of the colum closer to the dash gaining some arm room

no shift levers top or bottom ,no neutral safety an its tight n smooth

Re: tilt questions

I can give you some auto tilt diamentions if it will help. From the top of the blinker/tilt housing to the bottom of the lower tube is 32 1/2" If you're just measuring the lower tube it is 26'' long

I've heard the colum can be collapsed, But can it be extended? if so how far can it go safely

The column does not collapse, the intermediate shaft that is between the column and the steering box can be collapsed
