Got the 468 and 700R4 installed this morning. I like the way the Brother's dropped trans crossmember fit - perfect. I threw the intake on there just to cover the lifter valley for right now. Chassis and engine done, now for the body work to begin. SC

those are some of the sweetest valve covers. tunnel ram too. might wanna cover up the tunnel ram intake. heh

Yes, those are rusty brake lines. They were all tweeked up near the mastercylinder, so I'm going to replace them.
Anybody out there with a factory 72 bigblock can get me a measurement? I'm wondering what the distance is between the top of the front of the block where the intake/block mate, and the bottom of the stock hood. The tunnel ram pictured is actually a "mid-rise" Offy, and I plan on running Edelbrock carbs. Just wondering if I'm going to have to cut the hood, or maybe can get away with a looooow profile aircleaner.

I bought some fleetside wheel tubs at the last swapmeet, so I'm going to mini-tub the stepside bed. I'm going to get at least a 12"rim under there! SC

Mickeys or maybe some old school ProTracs. I used to have some on my '78 Z-28 in highschool back in the day...

My truck came with Protrac 50's
I can't find any info on these tires or where they are from!
Do you have any info on them or a web site I could check out?
They sure are a sweet look'n tire!

The sizes are crazy aswell
I have F on the front and N 's on the Back
Beside Mickey's I can't find any other tires to fit the 15x9 and 15x11 '' Rims!

Yeah, ProTracs are back!!
I've seen them advertised in Superchevy and Chevy High Performance magazine.
They have a number of sizes now, including the massive Pro-street sizes.
I'll see if I can't find those ads for them somewhere.

Hey, that BB motor looks like it to heavy for that frame.
I have a 3/4 ton frame that it will work just fine in. LOL

HaHa, you're right matt67350, that big block is heavy

After I set it in, I was taking the lift chain off, and noticed one of the Grade 8 bolts holding the chain to the block had bent!!
A lot different than hoisting a smallblock - especially since I had the 700R4 bolted to it. I'm just glad it's in. SC
