Hubcap I.D. anyone?
Differences between these caps. One has an outter lip around the tri-design, the other is smooth. I was wondering if anyone has some info?

Re: Hubcap I.D. anyone?
My 66 3/4 ton has the ribbed one. I have seen both in stock form. I think the 64-65 may be the smooth ones and 66 the ribbed ones. Im sure someone else will chime in soon.

I wonder if it's an OEM/Aftermarket difference? I know some re-pop items aren't exactly like originals...

Re: Hubcap I.D. anyone?
the smooth ones are early (64-65) and are not reproduced. Those with ridges are from 66 and are being reproduced pretty darn close to original. You can spot subtle differences in the bowtie if you compare an original to a repop. The ridges make them more resistant to damage and are what Chevy would give you for your 64 65 66 if you went to the dealer for a replacement.

Re: Hubcap I.D. anyone?
They must have rotated the chevy emblem on the re-pop...

Re: Hubcap I.D. anyone?
Pays to shop around. I have found 2-3 different variation of the repops in the last few minutes alone.
