The foams are molded and protected to fit over the stock springs and seat frame at the correct height. This saves a lot of money not having to manufacturer & integrate new springs. We could never afford them, otherwise.

The reason I was asking is one parts warehouse has this description for their bucket seat foams.

"New foam insert for bucket seats. Does one seat. The cushions feature embedded wires just like original, including the wire loop on the bottom of the cushion for bolting it into the car. Backrests feature wire sub-structures as well as hog-ring wires."

I'm just curious if this statement is accurate? I'm just doing research and trying to learn. Thanks for your time.

NOT OUR TRUCKS...but, some cars because of framework. Only compare our trucks!

There are now two USA manufacturers for truck seat foams & one import...as compared above. You are looking at a poor description of the China foams. There are NO springs built in. China uses a wire in the foam to hog ring the centers...America uses steel rods outside the foam for that purpose. We think the rods are better!
