Honestly I would just install it where it is the most comfortable height for you. I don't really know if there is a "factory location" as far as measurements go for the mirror. At least I have never seen it anywhere.

Re: Rearview mirror install ??

i tried looking through the assy. manual & no luck in it...... but i would think there is a "set" location from when the truck was assembled. i guess i could take a meas. from a current truck & see......

any other thoughts or ideas?????

thanks!!!

Re: Rearview mirror install ??

Just put a mirror in mine last week, bought it at parts store and packaging desribed placement on window. If I recollect 4-4 1/4 inches from the top center.

Re: Rearview mirror install ??

The 'button' that the mirror attaches to (my mirror is removed) is 2 7/8" down from the molding (to the top of the button; a bit over 4" to the bottom of the button).

Disclaimer: The windshield has been replaced once in the years that I have owned the truck. My glass guy is a real stickler for detail, so the button is probably in about the same location as before.
