Re: bagged 84 c10 single cab swb

Did you have to run any spacers on the front Boss 338's? Do you know if you have the 1.00" (light-duty) or 1.25" rotors?

Thanks!!

Re: bagged 84 c10 single cab swb

No spacers needed and yes I have the 1" light duty rotors. There is also no need to dent in the dust caps either as I have read some people do

Cool, thanks.

I have 20x10's for the rear, I hear I'll need an adapter/spacer for them, I guess we'll see. I am still collecting the pieces I want for my 2wd conversion.

Re: bagged 84 c10 single cab swb

the 20x10's I believe will fit without them to be honest. It also depends on what your doing with it, my bed and such is cut and set up to where they can fit. Good luck with it and post some pics of it!

I plan on doing a 4/6 drop, 3" drop spindles up front with cut stock springs, the rear I'll be changing to the 2wd rear spring hangers, reusing my 4x4 springs (might remove a few leafs), 3" in frame C-notch, 6" axle flip kit, and maybe lowering shackles (if needed). I am still going to use the K5 for towing my camping trailer, etc, so I can't get too crazy. Worse case I'll bag the whole truck.

Very cool build. The back of the truck is very smooth. I can dig it. Keep it up!

if you have the 338's with the push in centercap with the o-ring....those are the redesigned ones that should fit with 1 inch or 1 1/4 inch rotors. so when you order your stuff like spindles and things either should work. i have the o-ring center cap 20x8.5 on mine with 1 inch rotors and i didnt have to dent my wheel bearing dust cap either. im on stock spindles but may go with drop spindles soon.

I'll have to look at them. I bought them about a year ago and they have never left the boxes. I know they did a redesign at some point in the past, I bought them for my Roadmaster Wagon, but decided to keep the wagon on Rallyes and put the 338's on my K5 after converting to 2wd. I plan on buying 3" drop spindles and new slotted/crossdrilled rotors anyway, I might as well buy the 1.00" rotor version just to make sure I won't have any issues.

another idea is to bring one of your wheels in to like autozone or whatever and see if they can take a 1 1/4 rotor out of the box and you can see if it fits before you bought it. of course, my light duty 1 inch rotors have plenty of stopping power so it would be just personal preference at that point. just make sure you can get 3 inch drop spindles for the 1 inch rotor. i know they make 3 inch spindles for 1 1/4 rotors.....i have that combo on my 67 c10

I have the 1.25" rotors and I checked the wheels and its a no go. The lip in the rotor hub will not allow the rim to sit flush. I am checking on having a machine shop removing the lip.
