1967 Starter switch

I have a 1967 Chevy C20. The spacer and bezel nut have been destroyed and I'm finding that no one makes a new spacer for this early model. Does anyone have this part? I would be interested in the lock tumbler and switch as well, especially the tumbler which is getting worn. The spacer is the big issue. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Yea, the 67 spacer is specific to this year and not remade. Keep an eye out for one on the parts board or check every 67 truck you see in the junkyards. I have a thread in FAQ that shows the differences between the 67 and the 68-72 switches, but I think there is also a thread on how someone cut down a 68-72 spacer to make it fit as well.

The 67's & some early '68 ignition switches did not have an accessory position and the wiring is a little different on them. The later ones should work OK but just be aware of this.

Your right. I figured out my switch has been changed to the later model switch, because it has the AC position. The biggest issue I have is with the spacer. The previous owner had put it in wrong and got the bezel on crocked, didn't fit the "dog ears" to the notches in the dash... Long story short the spacer is toast. No one makes new spacers for the early model switch. It is much smaller in diameter on the end that fits the dash. If nobody out there has one, I'll probably modify my dash and go to the later model bezel nut and spacer.

They are out there. If you go to the "Parts For Sale" board and find someone who is parting a '67, PM them and ask if it still has the ignition switch in it.
