TBI swap help
I am putting a 87 TBI 350/700r4 in my 69 panel. I have all my wiring done but i'm not sure where to mount the ECM. I was wanting to mount it under the cowling like it was mounted on the 87 but it hits the heater box. Any suggestions or pics would be appreciated. BTW its a heat only truck.

I will be dealing with the same issue on my 69 K10 project when I get that far.
I was thinking of fabricating an aluminum sheet glove box liner that was shallower than stock to allow the ECM to be secured to the back up out of sight. Haven't started messing with it yet to see if there is room to do this or not though. Want to be my guinea pig?

I guess you could also just mount the ECM inside a stock card board type glove box liner too and just punch a hole for the wiring to pass though.
You would lose much of the usable space in there but it would be easy to access.

I used all the stock ECM wiring and it was plenty long. I ran the wires through on the passenger side, but mounted the TBI ECM itself on the driver side, close to the parking brake bracket, right above my fusebox.
