best carb for 305?
what carb would be a good replacement for my '85 305...is 600 cfm too much and will i need to get one w/ EGR to stay legal in VA? i have had good luck with edelbrocks but what are y'all running that works well?

edlebrock is a good carb but for me i prefer a quadrajet.

dumb suggestion, but how about an Edelbrock Quadrajet? Mike runs one on his truck, with a warmed up 350, but i dont see why the carb wouldnt work on a 305 too. JET performance will set a QJet up specifically for your application if i remember correctly, but they arent new carbs, they're remanufactured. Edelbrock carbs are all new, unless you purchase one that's remanufactured (they fofer them, but under a different PN)

I've have a 1406 Eddy on my 305 and I like it. No problems and it runs great!! I have pictures on my web site.
