Woohoo!!! got a rear sway bar

hey guys i remember someone on here talking about rear sway bars on 3rd gen camaros...saying they work on leaf rears...well i got one today of a 3rd gen at a wreckers for 9 bucks! cant go wrong there...but what i want to know is this a direct bolt on do i have to heat areas of the bar and bend it or whatever..i know someone has done it on here, think his name was something like low69cst or close to....any help would be great

A swaybar is basicly a torsion bar or spring...so if you heat it, it is now a doorstop.

Check this out. It is anothers members site 69CST I believe, but he installed it on a coil rear. You should be able to convert the process though, keep us updated. Dont heat the bar at all.

you guys think this should still work on a leaf rear, i thought 69cst had a leaf rear and i knew he used a camaro bar so thats why i grabbed this one...im sure it will work..if not i know someone with a coil rear that would want it

He installed this sway bar on a coil rear but attached everything to axle and frame. Nothing to the trailing arms. Put up there in place and make sure it does not interfere with any of the leaf rear end components. If it doesnt then install if it does then you can send it to me.
