Re: Does anyone have this repo radio?
That's not a bad price considering it's custom made just for these trucks, not universal to fit whatever. Compared to a 40 year old mono radio it's new w/current updated technology, stereo w/fader for 4 speakers,45w per channel compared to what,15w total?,jacks and controls for CD/XM/MP3. It's a far superior radio to the factory AM/FMs that are getting close to that cost in excellent condition (when you find one that is). Unless your truck originally came with an AM/FM,the only reason people pay what they do is to have a radio that fits, looks original, and gives FM reception. These do that and way more.
Hagan will also convert your factory radio. Before he came out with these repros,my plan was to have him do an AM up this way. To buy an AM/FM,then pay him to convert was a far more expensive proposition than buying this repro. I figure you can have an AM done, find your five favorite stations and preset them, and find anything else between them from there. No one will look in your truck and say,"Hey,it's got an original AM/FM",but oh well. You'd have fine sounding music to enjoy while driving your classic truck that fits and looks original. That's the cheapest way to go,but not much less than this repro.
