1987 crew cab dually swap
how hard is it to make a dually into a signal wheel truck and what would i need

The dually rear end is shorter and the bed sides are cut out bigger you need a new rear end and bed.The front i think you just change the hub and rotors.

SRW TO DRW:
DRW pickup box have Dana 70's in the rear and they are wider. You must replace the D70 with a SRW 14 bolt from a c/k30 because the spring pad width matches. You can use a c/k20 14 bolt but you must move the pad width in(narrower). DRW cab and chassis(non pickup box) trucks have 14 bolts in the rear that are narrower...you have to replace the rear end on these too. You will either 1. replace both box side or 2. replace the complete box. The fender wells on dually box trucks are cut taller and wider and the dually fender covers it. For the front just replace the rotor with a SRW hub/rotor. Its all pretty much a bolt on deal. |
