I love spring
This is the first chance I've had to clean up the old girl.

Re: I love spring
Looks great... almost begging to go to a truck show or haul the boat to the lake

Re: I love spring
That is a great looking truck! I'm not a big fan of the tail lights though.

Re: I love spring
Looks great! (though I'm with Corts on the taillights) Seems like the one-year-only '80 square headlights are showing up a lot more on the board lately. It's nice to see.

Re: I love spring
The truck itself is a '77, with a 1980 front clip. The Silverados in 1980 had square head lights, with the lesser models having round. 1977's still had gas caps as opposed to fuel doors. There's my days worth of trivia.

Re: I love spring
So,at the little show n' shine I was at there were a number of nice 50's Chevs, but, and I hate to say it out loud, the truck that caught my eye was an old corn-binder.

Re: I love spring
This is a common misconception, but it's not true. The Silverados got the square headlights by default, but other trim packages could get the square lights as an option. For instance, my truck is a Cheyenne and has the square lights.

Re: I love spring
I did some snooping and you're correct. In my option code book it shows V22 deluxe as the code for square headlights on the lesser models.

Yup! That's it. I couldn't remember the option code off the top of my head.
