Question 3 spd clutch

Okay, I got my clutch and pressure plate and throwout bearing in the right way (I think), but now there's a loud clicking noise as soon as I fire it up.
Now, the clutch disc needs to go in a certain way and I think I put it in that way. Could I have put it in backwards and that's what's causing the noise?? Or is it even possible to tighten it down when its put in backwards? Also, I double checked all my bolts for tightness.

it owuldnt go in all the way if it wa sin backwards, the hub center where all the springs are in the middle of the disk sticks out further on one side than on the other side, the side that sticks out more should go towards the plate assembly(toward tranny)
the indented area of the flywheel isnt deep enough for that, so,, do you have dust shield installed right onw ? maybe its getting hit by something ?

Question

How do I correctly adjust the pedal travel? I now have to push almost all the way to the floor and there's no more adjusting left in the adjuster rod. Before, I barely put the clutch in and could shift.
